Regents Canal
Leslie Deere: Sound
Regents Canal is a commission for the opening of Kings Place in 2008. King’s Cross is known for its station and bustling pace, but the canal is a hidden and important part of the area and the city. King’s Cross is changing at such a rapid rate that soon the charm of its natural and historical spaces could easily begin to disappear. Regents Canal 32 attempts to capture the essence of a single hidden spot, beneath the roads and train tracks, where the aural and visual, past and future, the natural and the man made intersect and overlap.
